PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course – Summary: Purpose: The course helps certified Open Water Divers build confidence and expand their scuba skills through different types of adventure dives. Key Features: Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification) Minimum Age: 12 years old (Junior Advanced Open Water Diver) 15 years old (Advanced Open Water Diver) Duration: Typically 2–3 days Number of Dives: 5 adventure dives Required Dives: Deep Dive – Learn to dive deeper than 18m/60ft (maximum depth: 30m/100ft). Underwater Navigation – Practice compass use and natural navigation.
